For the first 3-4 years after my DS, I CRAVED bacon. Ate it for breakfast 6 days out of seven---and I'm NOT talking about one or two slices, either. (I also save my bacon grease and cook with it.) My cholesterol numbers when from 'scary' to 112.

Now thats what i'm talking about. I make good food... my partner makes good food... i dont want to give up my good food and live on bland yicky hospital tasting food for the rest of my life. I kind of got the impression that wls was about improving the quality of life. And for me having a delicious meal IS enjoying life.

I don't think any form of WLS actually forces you to live on a bland yicky hospital tasting diet, but some people develop food intolerances and/or need to avoid certain types of food to maximize weight loss. But for ME, good good is usually high in fat, and my DS makes that okay for me now.
