Helen I am in Stevens Point. I also read the reviews for Dr. Selwyn and he sounds like the kind of doc im looking for :) I hate docs that leave me with the feeling that all of my problems are in my head and he didn't sound like that from his reviews. I am reading as much as I can about all the surgeries but at this early stage I am thinking the right one for me is going to be the DS.

Dr. Selwyn is great. He did my surgery. Very thorough and very much into education and not just doing the surgery.

Not only is Dr. Selwyn great but so is his staff. They all truly get it and understand the struggle that we all face.

Dr. Selwyn is not judgemental at all and is very compassionate. He never makes you feel like you are a failure at life and that is why you are heavy the way some other Dr's I have seen can be. He truly has your best interest at heart and will take excellent care of you.

His coordinator Pat is awesome as well. She is an RN and she will answer any questions you have in an exceptionally quick fashion.

I developed a leak after my surgery about a week out. Dr. Selwyn has been amazing at treating it and will fit me in even if his day is completely booked if something is going on. He even called me personally last week at 8pm to give me the results of my CT scan that showed my leak had finally healed up. He did that AFTER having been in surgery all day.

I really can not recommend him enough.

I wish you luck and who knows maybe we will run in to each other sometime at one of the support groups.
