I have a friend who had a botched RNY (I am not posting to scare anyone so please if you are a newbie or whatever dont read! I am seriously posting for help for a friend)

She is 29 years old, had RNY in Dec 2009. Her pouch was made smaller than the size of a teaspoon. Since her RNY she has had her gallbladder removed in May 2010 and since then has had over 8 surgeries to try and stretch her pouch. She can't eat anything and has been living on pedialite and water. She has so much scar tissue and no surgeon wants to touch her. She lives in California and has Medicare/Medical. She needs help pronto!! If you know of a surgeon who may be willing to take her on please please please let me know! you can post a reply here or email me at [email protected]

Oh and before you tell to tell her to seek out a lawyer... she has. Apparently in microscopic print on her consent form it says she consents to having students operate on her and so there is nothing the lawyers can/will do.

Thank you so much in adance!
Rachel

Loma Linda University...ask for Dr. Rendon's office. He's in CA, he supposedly takes cases that other people screw up. Heard this as 3rd party so I don't know if it's true. Dr. Rendon is also a trauma surgeon and has seen some nasties.

I have wasted enough of my life worrying about what people think of me.

Hmmmm! I think that it is really funny that a moderator needs to approve this because of my new status in this forum.  That right there proves that there is something to hide!!!!!!! Thank you Dr. Rendon for ruining my son's life with your neglect... Eric Hjort  did not have to die in Sept 2010!!! I am sure that you reviewed the records/autopsey and you already know that. I have an 8 year old son who now has no dad. Eric was getting this surgery to be able to spend more time with his son, throwing the ball and being a better dad and the surgery is the very thing that took him away from Caiden.  Caiden  is suicidal and I am left to clean up the mess emotionally and financially. This did not need to be like this. After viewing your facebook and Myspace... I hope you have fun drinking Mojito's because  our lives are shattered.

I am sorry for your loss and am not familiar with your story.

We all know WLS carries a small risk of death. Was Eric's death from a complication or malpractice? If it was not malpractice you might want to reconsider this post.
