while walking in Walmart with my little tiny skirt (from size 18 to size 3) my husband was walking behind me instead of beside me. I asked him what are you doing? He replied saying he didn't want any of the guys checking me out........   That for sure was a wow moment.......   WOW.

Thats awesome for you but i just came home from the hospital like3 hours ago. And was looking around for something to nibble on. And it hit me...i can nibble anymore :)  I was hoping i could get some food choices from ppl that have accomplished so much!!! My insurance didn't help at all with mine so i was a self pay client. I was excited about having the surgery on Monday. But now that i'm home i'm not quite sure what i have to absolutely do.  SO far my list of foods are chicken or beef broth, SF popsicles, SF Jello. When can i start getting into some foods that actually have flavor? Can you help me plz. Now i'm just a bundle of nerves thinking i'm going to fail at another attempt at weight loss. I also hear about protein chips...not sure if i should attempt that or not. Can you plz give me some examples of menus to go by or a website that i could use to look up some of this stuff.
Thank you so much
Tammy

HI Tammy:

I hope you are feeling better....DId you get a diet to follow from your surgeon?  I was on liquids and protein shakes  for 3 weeks. Week 4 was pureed soups and such.  I could not eat chicken or beef for many months....

I recommend you call your surgeon's office and ask to speak with a dietician so you can have a firm plan. There is a diet and nutrition forum here which you might also find helpful.

May I ask what surgery you had?
