The first WOW moment was when I saw a very attractive woman walking toward me only to realize I was walking toward a mirror and that attractive woman I hadn't recognized was me! The other day my husband walked into the living room where I was resting in the chair. He thought I was our daughter and commented that he didn't know she was here. We were both amazed when he realized it was me. She is a lovely young woman who has has modeled. I feel like I have my life back. Nancy

Tammy Colter~

Thank you for being willing to share my story about cross addiction and my regret for having gastric bypass surgery. If I can help to educate anyone, by my own experiences, in itself I will feel a sense of purpose out of this experience.

I appreciate your time and thoughtful consideration on this sensistive matter.

Feel free to contact me by cell at 320-290-9930 or by email.

Sincerely, Joy Bjerke

I havent renewed my drivers license since before my surgery, almost 4 years ago. About 3-4 weeks ago I went to a check cashing store to cash a check, I haven't been in there in years. I handed her my license, but she had an old picture of me on file. She said this isn't you! Oh my God. And called over her co-workers to show them the picture. I told her yeah you dont remember me?  She was Friends with My Best Friend's mom. She eventually remembered and was in complete Shock! I had her print me out a copy and I couldnt believe it. lol It didnt even look like me.   =]

Picture I was 406lbs, Im Currently 139.
It took me a long time not to judge myself through someone else's eyes.

went on a date a couple of weekends ago and he started tickling me and I actually was ticklish.  Almost painfully ticklish.  He could tickle my bones  lol - never was honestly ticklish before.

I've just read this entire thread and agree w/all - it's been an amazing ride and have experienced all of the same WOW moments.   The other thing that really amazes me too is how I was invisible before to strangers and now they send me a smile.  Maybe it's because my confidence level has increaed, but hey, whatever it is, I'll take it  :-)
