Had to comment on your WOW moment. Two years ago we went to Disney World and took our then 4 yr old granddaughter for the first time. She wanted to go on the Dumbo ride. While standing in line, I wondered if I would fit and was going to bow out and let Kylie and her Poppa go without me. She insisted. The castmember put all 3 of us in the same Dumbo. I struggled to lock the seatbelt. The castmember came over and said not to worry, they have extenders for larger guests. I could have died right there. Then I felt like everybody around me was watching the fat grandma flying around in the elephant. It was a very quiet exchange with the young lady and I don't fault her for anything, but it made me wonder if I could go on any of the rides. I monopolized the camera for that trip and there are no pictures of me at Disney World with my granddaughter.

I am pre-op, hoping for the end of this July, and WILL go back to Disney World a new me and I WILL ride everything and I WILL be in the pictures.

Congrats on tightening your belt!

WOW! That's my story.  We went to Disney Feb 2011.  Just change the name.  Now July 5th I go for my first meeting to see about getting the sleeve.  Looking forward to being in your shoes!
Great story!

My WOW moment happened on Thursday when I asked my doctor a realistic timeline of when he thinks I will have my surgery. He looked at me and smiled and said "by the end of this summer" But I can't wait for MANY MORE WOW MOMENTS!!

I'm totally psyched about WLS. My wow moment came when I tried on a pair of jeans I've kept for 2 years thinking I'll get into them. Well last weekend 8 wks post surgery I got them on with room to spare. Loving life and being able to do things again. 40 lbs. lost sure makes a difference.

My WOW moment came just a few minutes ago. I tried on my wedding dress (size 16) and it fit!!!! It was even loose around the waist. I'm 3 months (RNY) post op and I've hit a bit of a platoe. Trying on my wedding dress from 14 years ago made me feel great. I've come so far in such a short time. I have lost 63lbs from my highest weight and 49lbs since my surgery!!!. I am eager to see what's next.
