I definately think it will help you. It is such a delicate balance...enough to live but not enough to store as fat. You will have to find the right balance for your body;everybody has to find their own balance. I know for sure that eating way less is not the way to do it anymore than eating way more is.

You will find your balance...just keep tweaking

Hi, I am new to the forum, so I haven't posted much.  I work at the YMCA and know this for a fact..
YOU CANNOT RELY ON THE CALORIES BURNED DEVICE ON A PIECE OF CARDIO!!
They come from the factory set at a "happy zone", in other words it tells you that you have burned more calories than you really have.   You really didn't burn 810 calories, sorry. You may have burned 650-700.

I get concerned about where some of the people on here get their surgeries done.  I have a nutritionist and personal trainer just waiting to help me. Do you not have the same support group of people from where you did your surgery? I find it interesting that everyone has a different diet as well.

Tips for weigh loss... Mix it up don't do the same cardio all the time, do an elliptical machine,
row machine, bike,  20 minutes 20 minutes 20 minutes on each.  Water aerobics, spin classes, step classes. Do other classes.

Work out in your heart rate zone.  220- your age=  A

Multiply that by   55-65% for health improvement....Beginners
                             70-85%  to improve Cardi
                             85% and above for athletes

For example  220- 40 years old  X 70 =126               or 220-40X 85 =153
So check your heart rate monitor on your cardio machines and make sure your heart rate stays between 126 and 153 while working out.  Change number for your age of course!

Good luck!

Unfortunately,no,everyones surgeon does not necessarily have a nutritionist and or a personal trainer on staff. Some that do have them,it turns out that thye have little to no knowledge about a post bariatric surgery lifestyl.e that makes most of their information useless.

Hopefully it will be different for you,bit everyone is on a seperate journey and gets info where they can.

good luck,
Holly

Thanks Ruff, but I already know that information about how to stay in my heart rate zone. I use to be in the military and I know a lot about working out. My concerns was with food. Also once you had the surgery you'll see that sometimes advice from others other than from your own surgeon team is just as helpful..........
