How far out are you? also, you stated you are "overeating" so yeah, that would be one of the problems. How many calories are you getting in? How much protein are you getting in? When did you have your last labs tested? are you exercising at all? What are you eating in a normal day? have you been tracking your food on one of the free websites like fitday, loseit, etc.? The more information you give us the more we will be able to help.

Did you change your exercise routine?  First thing, make an appointment with your NUT, then start a food and exercise journal to take with you on your appointment.  WLS is not a lose the weight and you're done thing, it is a lifelong commitment to a better lifestyle including what and when you eat and exercise.  Use the professional help to get you back on track.

fter a year or 2 post surgery our body suddenly adapts and ... we start gaining weight... very fast.
Only very strict diet and exercise will stop that and allow us to lose again...

It looks like there you are now... back to basics. Give up most carbs, specially white carbs, and back to exercises.

yEAH, I GOT VERY COMFORTABLE TO WHERE I WAS, THINKING THAT I WAS ALWAYS GOING TO BE THAT WAY AGAIN, WELL, NOT ALL OF THAT IS TRUE, I KNEW I HAD TO WORKOUT REGULARLY TO MAINTAIN, BUT FROM THE GET GO I HAVE BATTELED W/FIBROMYAGIA, DIGENERATIVE DISCS, & ARTHRITIS IN MY LOWER BACK. BUT AS OF 3 MONTHS AGO, IT MADE ME PRETTY MUCH BED-RIDDEN. I WAS ONE TO DO MY PILATIES DAILY, 7 DAYS W AWEEK, BUT SLOWLY THE BECAME SO SEVERE I JUST COULDNT DO IT. I AM REALLY TRYING MY HARDEST TO GET BACK INTO THAT, BUT ONE DAY AT A TIME, I KNOW. I ALSO GOT MYSELF BACK INTO P.T., TO TRY TO STRGTHEN MY BACK ALITTLE, SO I CAN WORKOUT MORE AGAIN. MY DOWN FALL AS FAR AS EATING......CHEESE ITS, PLAIN AND SIMPLE, FRICKIN CHEESE ITS HAVE ME BY THE BALLS (SO TO SPEAK!). SO, THATS IT. OH, & I WENT & GOT PROTEIN POWDER TO GET MY PROTEIN IN AGAIN, BUT AFTER I DRINK IT, I GET A KILLER STOMACH ACHE!

what meds are on for fibro?? if you are using any of the antidepressents many of them have serious weight gain issues.

being bed ridden and not exercising that could account for some of the gain, especially if you did not decrease your caloric intake

sending a hug, the fibro kicks my butt still and some times all I want to do is eat, not move and eat.....
Gratitude is my attitude

Try different protein drink. You may become lactose intolerant... or simply - even whey intolerant.
Try some natural whey isolate... (the additives made me sick... i.e. Splenda, artificial flavorings, color, etc). I tried the unflavored whey isolate and by elimination process I found out that the whey was not the issue... but the additives were... so now I am on all natural whey proteins...
It is a bit of a challenge... but overall it is worth the trouble.,..At least for me...

Yeah it sucks doesn't it, your body has started absorbing more and now what you used to eat to maintain makes you gain.  It happened to me at the 4 year mark, its ******g scary, now I live fighting every single day to not gain and trying to get back to that perfect 135.  I am at 145ish now, I wouldn't step on a scale today if you paid me as I feel fat and bloated like I am going to burst literally.

Sorry!

OK, SO YOU HAVE NOW MADE ME OFFICIALLY START TO CRY. YOU JUST SAID WHAT I FEEL EVERY F'ING DAY AT THIS POINT. I WAS ON THE SCALE DAILY UNTIL I HIT 135. ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER I DARED DO IT AGAIN & I WAS 140! I THINK BY THE WAY MY CLOTHES FIT, I AM AT 150LB, BUT I CANT GET MYSELF ON THE SCALE TO CONFIRN IT. ! GOODLUCK TO BOTH OF US!
