I have no idea what you said, nor what your issues are - but I can heartily recommend that you ignore whatever that arrogant fucktard Lora said.  I'm sure that I am not the only one who will be watching with interest and schadenfreude for how she does long term.

Whoa... That seems harsh.  Lora was speaking the truth.  The OP had been deleted by the time I got here, but it sounds like the person has had 3 different WLSs and has still failed.  I'm with Lora- the OP needs to examine the actions that cause the surgeries to fail, not blame the surgeries.  Plus, the comment about basically wanting her to fail long-term was way out of line.  She is trying to help the OP not fail long term, and here she is doing well at 3 or 4 years out, and you root for her failure?  Some people need the harsh truth to keep them from whining/ feeling sorry for themselves rather than taking action.  Lora's quote says it all... is the OP drowing, and if so, why?

Hi Victorious Secret -
Honestly I have no idea if the surgery failled the patient or if they didn't  make the necessary changes in  their lifestyle, etc.  I could not gleem must from their original post and didn't see anything on "latests posts" to help me fill out the missing pieces.

However, I just wanted to say to you that I think it was great that you posted in Lora's defense.  While I respect Diane's passion for the DS, I too, felt her email to Lora was also rooting for her failure.
Regardless of our surgery types, we ALL have a common struggle and I sincerely mean this when I say I would love for ALL of us on the OH board to have 100% long-term success.

If it is all you can muster to anonymously get on the internet for support, I'm not surprised you've failed.

I do hope you keep trying, and I agree with one of the posters above *****commended reaching out for support in a real way.  That probably does not include deleting the post that actually has any information someone could use to help you or attacking anyone who says anything to you other than "poor baby".

Some people fail themselves (in life, not just in WLS) by insisting on playing the victim and not taking responsibility for their lives and conditions.  Even in cases when something bad you're dealing with isn't your fault, it's a very rare occasion indeed where your problems can be solved without resolve and hard work on your part.  I hope you come to the conclusion that you need to find a way forward for yourself.  Good luck to you.

I have a theory about the extent to which people use OH and how they do in the long run. Those who have blank profiles, reach out very little to make friends, never talk about their struggle tend to feel isolated and frustrated even with things that are common to all of us who have had WLS. You've been a member since 06. Fill out your profile. Tell us what you're struggling with (the thread title "I"m broken" and same old same old are virtually useless to someone who wasn't familiar with you. I'm on OH every day and I don't know you. We all need support. Participate in this community. Susan

Three garbage surgeries failed you. You did not fail them. Please consider revision to the DS. I am having this surgical upgrade next month.
