ASHAMED
monalisa,
I went to the information evening given by Drs Pohl and Giovanni. I clearly remember them mentioning how much they wanted to help patients who are struggling as you are. Take courage!
After all, they are very aware that depression after surgery is common. This is a HUGE change!
Good luck sister.

Should your surgeon's office be calling you? Maybe, but remember, they have tons of other patients to take care of. So it's your turn to call them, tell them what's been going on, and schedule a fill appt. Try to get past the embarrassment. These are bariatric professionals, they already know you have an eating problem, and I'l bet you're not the first struggling patient they've seen.
And, come visit the band forum some time. Lots of support and knowledge for bandsters there!
Good luck,
Jean

As for the Dr's office, its not that they dont care, but all of this is up to you not them. When you take that brave step and make that phone call for the appt, I am sure the person on the other end will be very nice to you. Then, when you show up, another brave step, you will step into the waiting room full of people going about their business and they have no idea what you are thinking and feeling. That is all you, not them. I am sure your dr. will wonder what happened, but after a nice chat, you will be on your way. How wonderful your journey will be! Be brave, its only fear of the unknown that holds us back and afterwards we say "wow, I was afraid for nothing!"
