NutJob, you are the one full of hate here.  Stop the hating, girl.  Step away from the computer and go do something nice for yourself.  Why don't you make a post informing preops of all the positive qualities of the RNY and the studies to back it up.  You work that block button, girl.  You show them who's boss!  That's right!

She told you this post was not meant for you....shhhhhh

Simmer down, you SHALL overcome

I don't really have a dog in this fight, as I am a post op and not a pre-op and the original post was specifically directed at pre-ops.  But, what exactly do you find malicious about Diana's post?

I am really interested.  I just don't see any maliciousness there.

I posted the below answer to the same thread this poster put on the RNY board...why she had to post it all over the boards...pure spite I'm thinking and nothing more......

This was not "paying it forward" by any means.  If I was pre-op and read something like this, it would have the opposite effect....I would run far away from having the DS!!  But I guess even bad press is good press...well I'm guessing over this post.

Again..why does it have to be a competition?  Why does one have to be superior over the other?  Tell me what positive comes out of all this high school behavior.

This post was malicious...period.  And yes..I will make full use of that block button because I can't stand people who behave this way.  I don't tolerate it in person and won't tolerate it here.

So getting your word out in this type of manner....definitely NOT supportive, positive nor paying it forward in any way, shape or form.
I've read Diana's post a couple of times and cannot for the life of me see where she stated that this was a "competition" or anything that was "malicious" about it.

This post was indeed paying it forward and works magnificently because these are the type of posts that get hits (thanks to posts like yours) and does get the word out about the DS. It was because of this type of post that I first really became interested in this often unknown WLS option.

What was the point of YOUR post, that you have terrible reading comprehension?

Bull******g****

When I was a pre-op, it was precisely posts like this that made me aware of the DS and helped me change my mind away from the RNY and to a surgery that was better for me across the board.

Thank you, Diana!

This post was far from being made out of spite. If you seriously would run away from a surgery because how a message was delivered by someone who isn't a surgeon, then that's your own problem to deal with. If you would of taken the time to read the subject line, she said it was aimed for pre-ops and for post-ops to read at their own discretion.

A)  You're not a pre-op, ergo, message not intended for you.
B)  If one cannot make an informed decision based on factual data, rather than relying on an emotional response to a post on the InTerWebZ, then you're too stupid to have a DS in the first place.  Moving along.
C)  She was stating information.  What is there to compete about?
D)  "Why does one have to be superior over the other?"  A little thing called research.  The DS has SUPERIOR long term weight loss statistics.  Period.  Look it up.  If it's the truth, it's not a ******g contest.
E)  "So getting your word out in this type of manner....definitely NOT supportive, positive nor paying it forward in any way, shape or form."  That's your opinion.  I disagree and I'm sure others disagree as well.
