What size do you wear, and what do you weigh???
When I was active duty Air Force, I was only around 122-123 lbs and could fit in nothing SMALLER than a size 12... (remember that was also years go before the Vanity sizing!)
Over the last 10-35 years, clothing manufacturers have gone to what is called Vanity Sizing.
Back in teh 1960's Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14! And she was curvy and sexy and very well within her weight. However...TODAY she would wear a size 1-2. (Vanity sizing).
I am currently at 184 and am 5'3 and I wear a 16. (Some brands of 16's are too tight and otehrs way to loose!)
When I was was at my heaviest (289) I wore ALMOST a size 30... (a very tight 28/3XXXL)
Today I wear an XL in Misses, a L in womens and a M in Mens (shirts).
My shoes have not changed at all... I used to wear a 9-10 in mens (my feet are very WIDE) and I still wear that size...In a womens I need to wear almost an 11-12.
My body has ALWAYS worn size that are "bigger" than what a lot of people wear for their weight though... In other words...When I am down to 160, I suspect I will only be in 14's. I have the very classic hourglass shape... 42-37-42
When I was fit and before all my surgeries and weight gain, I was 38-32-40 (and that was at 122)! I've always been "big breasted" and short and squat like a mini amazon or football player!
LOL! I am just 5'3
Warmly,
Jackie
I'm 5'10" wear 10-12 and L/XL shirts @ 220-225lbs. At my heaviest I was 402 and in a 30/32W and 30/32W/4XL shirts (which most people never believe me, cause most people of that size are never in "that" small a size) My jeans were never elastic, but I wasn't far from needing it.
I'm extremely dense, lol. Bones are big and heavy, I carry alot of muscle. I'm broad across but really narrow from the side.
So HI from another of the :I'm not who you should base anything off of club. LOL

I am 5'10 1/2 and weigh about 152. I typically wear an 8. I have also bought Levi's that were a 6, and Sonoma jeans that were a 10. Tops are usually medium. Most of the issue for me is the length of the both the tops and bottoms. Many tops are too short waisted. Bra went from a 40DDD to a 34 D. My shoe size went down also. I wore a 10, now a 9.5. My weight was 252 on the date of surgery. I wore a 3x top, and 20 jeans.
The only thing that got bigger was my smile!
I must either be a lot larger than the other posters at my 5'-3" inch 125 pound frame, or unwilling to squeeze into tiny sizes.
I usually wear a size 8 slack, size 6 skirt, and either a 10 or 12 blouse. Sweaters and knits are a medium. Jeans vary quite a bit, because these days, there is so much stretch in the denim.
But as my husband said today, as I was moving up sizes in finding a denim jacket, and found that I needed a large in the Levi brand, "who cares what size it is...does it look good?" I happily bought the size large and it looks great.
I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

I'm 61 years old, no panni, but I can't stand pants to be tight around my belly - it really makes me nauseated. My boys (age 34 & 36) tell me to buy smaller clothes. Maybe it's an age thing??
As one poster said, though, I'm sure happy I'm shopping in the "regular" section of the store these days, the selection is so much better. Thanks again everyone!
