What size do you wear, and what do you weigh???
For the most part...
I am 5'3", 174, and I wear...
Tops: Medium or Large, depending on the manufacturer. Old Navy is a Medium (and fits perfectly). Walmart is a M, unless I buy something from the Juniors/Miley Cyrus line (ick!), then I am a Large.
Pants: 12 or 14. Gap is a tight 12 and loose 14. Old Navy is a 12. Any Juniors section of a department store is a 14/15.
Dresses/Skirts: Solidly into a 12...sometimes a 10.
Every once in a while I get a pleasant surprise, and try on an 8 and it fits perfectly...but that is the exception.

I'm 5ft 4ins and around 150lbs. Clothes I buy range from US size 8 to 12! But the 12 is mostly tops as I don't like them too clingy - if i wore them as they were meant to be worn, I would probably get a 10. I find in the UK that clothes tend to get smaller as they get more exclusive! I can get away with an 8 skirt from something like Marks and Spencers but need a 10 from a designer label skirt.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I weight between 106 and 108. I wear pants between size 0 (Yup, Zero... I never thought I would be one of *those* girls) all the way up to size 6. I have 6's that fit perfect and I have a pair of size 4 that are so saggy in the butt that I have been told to NEVER wear them again. Go figure.
I dont know that anyone can made sense of weight / size... or even sizes among different makers / styles.
Use the sizes to begin your search,...but it will always be best to try them on and be open to the possibility that your size is smaller than you thought :)
2) Different companies use different sizing methods. And in cutting cloth, the stacks don't always stay even either.
With that said, pre-op, at 203/5' 3 1/2":
I was a 2x top from Kohl's, bordering on a 3x from WalMart.
Bottom, Kohl's was a 16W (my weight is top heavy), WalMart, 16W/18W
I'm down to 186 and I don't know YET but the tshirts I'm wearing are larges, the mock turtlenecks I have are xlarge (Kohl's) still had some from a previous loss. And my jeans are starting to get baggy.

I'm so glad you started this thread, sizing is always such a curious thing to me.

I'm 5'9" and weigh 163. I have no clue what I wear for clothes. I teach PE and coach so all I wear is shorts/sweatpants and tshirts. I'm also so used to wearing everything baggy. If I didn't have all this extra skin I know I would be in smaller sizes. It seems like most of the women's tops are so short waisted.
I really need to go shopping! I might someday need regular clothes! lol. All my friends want to take me shopping!
