LOL Again, to each his own.

~Life is too short to live with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right, forget the ones that dont. Remember EVERYTHING happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, LET IT!~

After watching people lose their children, I realized that no, not everything happens for a reason. The death of a child because a pharmaceutical company didn't pass along information is not a "reason."

There's also no reason for something like this: http://www.thegaymanifesto.com/2011/01/24/christians-attempt-to-burn-georgia-man-alive-for-being-gay/

"Everything happens for a reason," is just a fluffy, comfort-thought slogan.

No, it doesn't.

I find a lot more intelligent discourse in these threads than in the daily devotionals that show up on the revision board.  The moderators don't believe in censoring the off-topic stuff that Ms. Prouty uses to spam up the board, but they'll delete something if someone posts negatively about an experience with a doctor who supports this site.

Besides, I believe Jesus was a very cool dude whose words are twisted and abused by many.

In reply to the topic: This has almost nothing to do with Atheism... just another "a stupid person does a stupid thing" story where the stupid person is apparently religious.  I suspect the issue wasn't that it was "a bible", just if it were "a shoe" it wouldn't fit the whole "Religious folks are dumb" motif.

In reply to "Atheism":
Folks that participate here that claim Atheism have only one thing in common: A disbelief in gods.  Other than that one point of agreement, wew all don't agree on anything.  I don't think LeaAnn and I agree on most things, and the things we do agree on, she usually get's there with bad reasoning (JOKE ).

Wouldn't have been a "Devil Dog," had it only been a shoe.

Nope, like Neeven said, this is right up there with suicide bombing and the like of crazy doings because of religious belief.
