Babies are born innocent.

Then, as they become lil urchins, they sin

By some magical time, they can become "born again" (made pure like a lil-pre-ur***** through some process. So they are "born again" in this process, and then are given a very special laminated license (a very select few that is) so they can go around and spew their INcomprehension of the God who they SAY they believe in, but by their actions seem to be saying that they do NOT have the capacity to understand.

Now, I didn't use all the technical terms. I'm SO BAD at reading manuals about such things, but I gather this is the basic idea.

I remember the nuns telling me when I was really young that if a baby died and wasn't baptized then it couldn't go to heaven. . .it went to purgatory. . .but I heard purgatroid. . .and thought is was a planet of unbaptized dead babies. . .

I've been a recovering Catholic since I was about 12.

The Bible will provide you all the answers you need.  Here are a few places to start.

John.3
[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.[7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1Pet.1[23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

*****ie, do you think for yourself at all?  The Bible is a guide book.  You should not take the wording literally, you need to look for the meaning.  There are scholars that have studied it for years and are still trying to discern the true meanings behind what was written    You keep quoting the bible, but do you really understand the meaning behind the words?   Tossing around the phrase Born again does not literally mean a thing.  Back when these portions of the Bible were written it had meaning.  I would applaud you for wanting to bring folks to God and have them become aware of the love of Jesus, but you prefer to make it into an "I am better and you are going to HELL (joyful crackling)," sort of posting.

I am only one, But still, I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.  And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do
the something that I can do.

This is where your Catholic faith is failing you.  You have been lead to believe that the Bible is a guide book and that your priest will tell you what you should and should not believe to be the word of God.  It is all the word of God.  PERIOD!!

I do not think I am better than anyone.  I am only speaking the truth from the Bible that you claim to know and read.  For if you really knew it and read it you would understand where I am coming from.  Telling someone about HELL and how to prevent themselves from going there is not me saying I am better than you.  It is me WARNING you that if you do not change your mind set you are gong to end up there.  That is not me threatening anyone.  That is a promise set forth in the Bible.

Seriously Terri you need to drop "RELIGION" and get into the Bible and find out what the Bible says about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, being born again, salvation, Heaven, Hell and how to live a Godly live.

No I am not perfect and I am so thankful that I am saved.  I only want to see other gets saved as well.  Including you.....I say this because you have expressed to me that Jesus is not the way to salvation.  You believe that your good works and love will get you there and you are WRONG.  Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life and NO MAN can come to the Father BUT MY ME!!

Wrong again *****  I am still thinking for myself, using the intellect (even if limited) God gave me.  Whether you like it or not the Catholic Faith is the original Christian religion.  So does that mean all other Christian religions, or non Christian, or no religion, are wrong or less correct.  Nope...  That would be stupid to think that, and arrogant.   You on the other hand think anyone that does not believe like you is failing.  If that is not thinking you are better than everyone else I do not know what is.      My priest does not tell me what to believe.  He is my religious counsel, and I have great admiration for the man in that position at my Parish right now, but I make my own decisions.  You are not just telling about hell, you are threatening it.  In fact you are making Gods decision for Him and condemning anyone that does not think like you to Hell.

Why does the bible say letting men rape your daughter is OK, and owning slaves is OK?  Shouldn't that be in the 10 commandments instead of some of the "worship me or else" stuff?  I mean, if you're going to advise people to live their entire lives based off of one book, shouldn't it be a bit better?  I think I'd go for To Kill a Mockingbird, myself, but maybe that just means I'm becoming too Southern.

Seriously, have you considered that the "born agains" might not appreciate having you on the team?
