Optifast and Ensure ????
Compare labels....I am familiar with ensure, not with optifast.
GNC has a protein, soy based called protein 95, it has 20 grams of protein per serving and .. about 190 calories.it comes in strawberry and vanilla and chocolate.costs about 1.25$ a serving.
I get the vanilla and change it's flavor with small amounts of unsweetened koolaid...use splenda to sweeten to taste and serve over crushed ice... can also put it in blender with frozen strawberries...about 3 oz...good stuff, you'll forget you are on a diet. Denise

If you don't have any concerns with diabetes, I don't think it would hurt to change up the supplements. As long as you are watching sugars (if you need to), the amount of protein and carbs, you can try a variety of things - muscle milk, Atkins shakes, or even just some whey protein and milk/water.

The two products ar formulated for different purposes. Ensure is formulated to put weight on people who are debilitated. it has lots of calories, sugar and fat.
Optifast is formulated to take weight off of people who need to lose without sacrificing nutrition,by fitting a lot of nutrients in a small amount, while being less calories, fat and sugar.
It might work fine, but it is not something I would try.
Good luck and let us know how it works it you try it,
Holly
