"I NEVER said I will not do something because that never word is failure.
What I am asking is WHY TRY IT?"

Because not trying different foods IS using the NEVER word and as you've pointed out, is failure.

I am 15 months out and still losing. I've lost almost 200 pounds and will be at goal, soon. Just because some food is crack for you, doesn't mean it's crack for others. I eat normally because I no longer stuff down my emotions with food. A bite of something is tasty and satisfying whereas in the past I would have gorged on the item. Never once taking real pleasure in the taste, but pushing for the stuffed feeling.

Life is great, rich and wonderful now that I am normal, eat normally and live fantastically.

Congratulations with your success.  Are you going to work on how you treat someone who is new?  Because if your coming from an arrogant place....200 pounds or 500 pounds  arrogance is not appealing to me.

I never said never.  Some people just dont eat certain things.  I came from a bariatric support group last night and people are complaining that they arent losing weight, or they dont feel good, or they ate too much of something that isnt healthy for them.  of coarse I am going to be triggered to respond WHY TRY IT!!!!!

for you normal people that like a bite of something, that IS NOT  what i am talking about.  my crack is NOT your crack indeed.  but making a new comer or a arrogant rude response as some have responded here IS A HUUUUGE TURN OFF

I also welcome all of it because i get to pick and choose what I want to hear and not how to act.

Again...congratulations on your success.

I was neither rude nor arrogant. I pointed out that your own philosophy of "using the never word is failure" is why people try different foods.

You are asking the wrong question. You really want to know why some people keep eating things that are causing their regain or stopping weight loss progress. If the addiction issue hasn't been dealt with, any food can be a trigger, including healthy foods.

I would also recommend that you start weight/resistance training now as it gives you a leg up on recovery and can help you cope with your fear. Strength and confidence can help you beat the fear.

You need to get rid of that really huge chip on your shoulder.  The responses to your questions were very civil, but your comebacks were rude.  You also can stop adding "giggles", it's childish. It might be a good idea of you reread your responses, they are full of judgements, arrogance and rudeness.  You keep asking "Why Try It".  Well my response to you at this point is none of your business!

best response yet !!!!

to the OP - printing this off to show your bariatric group might not bring your desired results.   i suggest taking a deep breath and walking away from the discussion for the time being.

Hey Sweetie.
Here is pearl of wisdom #9 of 200. Something that I am working on.

 9.  A good diet is the pocess of eliminating bad things and adding good things and the best plan is when you eat good 90% of the time. The problem with a modern society (America) is, because of all the alterations in food that have gone on in last last few decades, very few people know what good is any more. The ignorance has become generational. Even if you take twinkies and sugar laden breakfast cerals out of the equation, you are left with the not so obvious rights and wrongs that have been discovered in recent years about nutrition. For example. Good carbohydrates vs. bad carbohydrates. Rice bread and potatoes are bad. Quiona, beans and oats are good. Corn oil and sunflower oil are bad. Olive oil and coconut oil are good. On and on. We as a "modern" society have strayed so far from the ###### that it has destroyed America and it's people.

Should you eat around you surgery. No. Now go in peace my child.

You ask "Why try to eat foods that are not as completely nutritious as possible?
You apparently class any food that is not past some arbitrary nutrition level as "bad".

OK.

When you watch TV or MOVIES (if you watch TV or Movies), do you only watch educational ones?  Do you EVER watch anything because :gasp: you ENJOY it?

When you buy clothing (if you wear clothing), do you only wear completely functional attire?  Do you have more than 3 outfits (1 for today, 1 for tomorrow, 1 in laundry)?  Why the extras?  Why the different colors?  Certainly, color can't matter?

When you have sex (if you have sex), do you only have reproductive sex?  Do you ever have sex because you enjoy it?

When you read a book (if you read books), do you only read Non-Fiction educational books?  Do you EVER read a book because it's fun?

If you drink anything bu****er (if you drink anything bu****er), Why?  Water fulfills all your physical needs.  Certainly, you don't choose non water for a different flavor?

If you do anything that is not completely necessary and useful, then you must understand why people might choose to eat or drink a food for no other reason than it's TASTE, or TEXTURE.

If a piece of chocolate tastes good, reminds me of that trip to San Francisco when we walked to Giradelli square, tasted chocolates, where I hid the engagement ring in a chocolate nougat... Why is that wrong?  [The places and foods in the story are true, the ring not].

Eating, drinking, doing, being ANYTHING (in moderation and within the law and generally accepted morality) just "because" is OK.

Unless you are Amish, then it totally makes sense (for you).
