I want to start taking magnesium oxide but the tablet is on the edge of being too big. There is nothing on th bottle that says don't cut or crush, but one search brought up a site that said not to. Now I'm not sure.

Well.  You can.

But if you want to take a liquid form of it, you could take Milk of Magnesia...

Thanks. I can't do mom... it gags me. Easier just to take the pill form.

My pill winds up dissolving in my mouth before I can swallow it--yuck!

You should not crush it if it is an extended released pill

If there's a score line down the middle of the pill, it's probably OK to split it.

Do you know which formulation you have?

It doesn't say extended release. It just says Magnesium 250 mg. On the back it states it contains magnesium oxide and calcium.

Probably OK to crush, but I'd check with a pharmacist just to be on the safe side.
