Nuvaring?

Well i tried merana and it didnt work, My body was trying to expell it so i had to get it taken out and the dog told me that i would have to go out and take a preg test and come back in to get a new one. Well the pain was too much the first  time around and i didnt want to do it again. So i asked for the nuvaring. Ive had it in for 2 weeks and am feeling crampy like im about to start my peroid. Then I read a post about the nuvaring being ineffective for women who are 200 pounds or more.  Has anyone gotten preg wile on nuva ring that was more then 200? Should i just stop using it and find something else? Im 245 so Im guessing its not doing anything for me. PLease chime in if you have heard about this or experienced it.

The patch is not for woman over 200 lb, the nuvaring works for over 200. I did use it, but I hated it. It was weird during sex so I started taking it out for sex and that is inconvenient. I love my mirena I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

I have my tubes tied so I don't have to really worry about BC, but I remembered Drug reps coming in and talking about this at work.

I have used the Nuvaring for about 4 years. I was more than 270 that entire time, with no pregnancy scares.

I have been using nuva ring and had no issues when I was over 200 lbs with it- my surgeon and pcp both thought it was a great option post op since I didn't have to worry about the malabsorption post op and the patch was not an option since I was over 200lbs.

Is it suitable for women who weigh less than 200 lbs? I'm less than 200 lbs but wanted to use it because it seemed more handy than the patch.

I just got off of Nuvaring.  In the beginning, it worked well, but I noticed even pre-op that it made me gain weight.  Post-op it slowed my weight loss as time went on.  I got pregnant on Nuvaring, but that was more because I was getting B-12 enhanced with HCG, which cancels out the Nuvaring hormones.  I am on progesterone to prepare myself for Paragard.
