I have been using the cheepies at Walgreen's. Now my energy is in the toilet. I need a better quality.

What is the best multi for RNY? Thanks :)

I was told by alot of great people on this board to try centrum multivitamins and I see a big difference over what my doctor wanted me to use...chewable flintstones.  Also I was told that my lack of energy and mood swings might have to do with my low vitamin D level...so now I take vitalady D3 50,000 IU and that sure perked me up.  Something to look into....alot of great people on here that have more knowledge and advice to give then some of the doctors that I have seen.

I personally think Celebrate is better than Opurity because Opurity is kind of low on vitamin A and has no copper at all.

Any multi that has 100% of the RDA of things is fine.  Take two a day.

I looked into Opurity since I am not allowed to have cooper due to toxic levels of cooper in my blood, but what got me was they said take one a day as they have doubled the numbers in everything, but I was not sure if I would absorb all of that at one time, so I found one with less cooper and will find out in a couple of weeks how it is doing.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.

It's probably a great choice if you need a multi without copper.  Almost all multis have copper and those that don't have copper are usually missing a bunch of other stuff that you almost certainly would want, like zinc and selenium.

If you were concerned about not being able to absorb everything at once, you could cut it in half and take half in the morning and half in the evening.  But I think most of the stuff in it, you could absorb at one time.

I use the Celebrate multivitamins and B12 sub-lingual brand. I also ordered the Calcet Citrate Creamy Bites in lemon flavor from them (haven't tried the chocolate flavor yet). These vitamins have worked wonderful for me. I can feel the difference in my energy level when I take them daily as opposed to regular over the counter or children's chewables.

I started off with the children's chewables, but the difference in the way I feel after taking the Celebrate vitamins specifically designed for gastric bypass patients in tremendous. It is worth the expense. I found I don't spend as much on groceries since surgery so I work it into my food budget.

As proof of their quality, I had a 13-month out blood panel run last week. My nutritionist doctor was amazed at my results. She said everything was "PERFECT!" She had never seen a patient come back with such good results. Believe me I'm no angel. I miss a day here and there, I've been slacking off on my calcium, etc., but the vitamin D in the Celebrate vitamins makes up for it. I do take a once a month prescription vitamin D capsule also. I highly recommend the Celebrate Vitamins. It's cheaper if you can order a 3-month supply at a time. I have limited funds, but this is so important in the long run for your health. Good luck.

I recommend trying samples b/4 you buy anything. I just got samples of both vitamins and both do NOT agree with my stomach. Must be the sweetener they use in the chewables.

I take one each of Opurity and Centrum per day.  I do take extra D3 and I feel good with good energy.
