It wasn't a costume for myself but we raised 5 kids and some years were lean financially. One particular Halloween I was trying to figure out what I could do that wouldn't cost a lot. I came up with the idea to buy a box of the big pumpkin bags that you fill with leaves and decorate your yard. They come 5 to a box. I cut out holes for their arms and legs and tied a black ribbon around they neck, placed one of the green stem pieces on their head and stuffed them with inflated balloons. They all went as pumpkins for a cost of less that $3.00!

My favorite costume was a kissing booth. I had a lot of fun! I made it out of card board box, gift wrap tubes, paint and a tip jar.

This is not me, but it was close to this look:

I want to do that!  I could donate the proceeds to a local charity.

I went to an early costume party this past Saturday night.I bought a vintage gown (1965) on ebay, a hair piece, and did my eyes up 60s style. I figured I'd look like an extra from Mad Men. The costume was a hit, some said I looked like a Greek Goddess. Fitting into vintage clothing is another great thing about weight loss, now that I think about it.

My daughter said she heard this idea from a friend. The husband was dressed as a Bee keeper and the wife was dressed as a Bee................
