I am 5 1/2 months out, have lost 135 lbs and am going bald!  I have lost so much hair and I do see little short pieces coming back but I am afraid to lose more hair!  What can I do to help this?

I bought wigs and waited it out.  My hair grew back so thick that it was difficult to comb without straightening it.

I wound up cutting it off.

(((Hug)))  I feel your loss!  Actually I share your loss.

I cut mine short (after finally getting it to grow out).  Coloring seems to help a little.

Take your vitamins & biotin.  It will help.  But mostly we just wait it out.

I love wigs!  They have some really cute ones now-a-days.  Worth the monry when you find one u like.  I dont have to wear one right now, but I do...everyday!  It's so easy to get ready in the mornings.  Good luck and take care.  I'd definitely take biotin.

Biotin did it for me. I was devastated after a few months after surgery to see that the edges of my hair were thinning out. I was advised by some very knowledgeable OH members who told me that biotin would do the trick. Guess, what? It did. My hair is thicker than ever. Biotin does work...:)

I am 18 months out and have half the hair I had when I started this journey.  I cut 8 inches off and it is still falling out.  I even take biotin and don't see any difference... hopefully it will stop and grow back.

I took Biotin and Zinc, however, did not notice any difference.  I did purchase toppik. It does not help with hair loss, however, I think it does help to camoflauge the problem.  I was concerned that it would come off on my pillows or drip down my face, etc., however, it did not.
I had a hair loss problem prior to surgery and I could not afford to lose anymore .  I think the hairloss is not as severe, however, I still lose some when I brush my hair.  I think I am going on 7 months of this now.  It really sucks .. I feel your pain.  However, for most of you this will only be a temporary situation and it will grow back.  Good luck!

I feel your pain. How is it that my nails are growing fast, my eyebrows and facial hair are growing so fast I have trouble keeping up with it, but I'm losing it on my head?? Makes no sense to me.
