I am still in the honeymoon phase, but my answer is YES!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleeve!!!

I can eat whatever I want and the weight melts off. Never in my life have I been able to lose while not feeling deprived or like I'm on a diet. It's wonderful. Sometimes it brings me to tears. It truly is a gift.

eta: Without my sleeve, I could never have lost 82 lbs in 5 months without being hungry!! It's amazing.

Heck yeah.  I almost cried yesterday when I stepped on the scale and saw that I am down 72 lbs from all time of high of 309 back on April 12 of this year.

I have to say that I am getting pretty tired of the nausea I feel most mornings, but it's a small price to pay to feel so much better with the weight off.

Yes but a different surgery if it were an option.  My insurance only covers rny and the band so i chose rny.  I would probably go with the sleeve or ds if i had to do it all over again.

I'm only 2 months out, but I LOVE my new life.  I feel like I'm getting "me" back.  From my liquid diet stage until now, I've lost around 60 pounds.  I feel fantastic, better than I have in about 15 years or so.  Prior to surgery, I felt awful, fatigued, exhausted.  Now, I'm energetic, hopeful, etc.  It is so worth it for me.  It's happened fast.  Every day there is a new suprise of something I can do that I haven't done in years.  What a blessing!

I would most certainly do it again!  My insurance would also only cover the band or RNY, so I opted for RNY.  I think I would have been even happier with the DS, but I have no complaints!

I am only one, But still, I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.  And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do
the something that I can do.

              HEARTBEAT

I was a fool to not consider this earlier.  I was told by a doctor to EXPECT that my death would be caused by esophageal cancer - That is how bad my reflux was.

I live in an area where vanity reigns supreme, where I was ashamed at how MUCH I could eat when all the women around me ate tiny little portions and exercised as a religion!  I eat just about as much as they do now - except I am satisfied - and I am running around the neighborhood too!

I fit in in so many ways now...I fit in a plane seat, a movie seat, in the neighborhood...I can shop at any regular sized store now, guys are starting to give my husband a run for his money!

I'M ONE OF THOSE CUTE GIRLS NOW...AND SOON, I'LL BE ABLE SO SAY I AM ONE OF THOSE CUTE TINY GIRLS NOW!
