Yes.  But I would have VSG if I could.  Wasn't an option for me because my insurance wouldn't cover that and I could not afford to self pay.  I'd do RNY again if that and the band were my only choices.  But I'd prefer VSG.

I've had a few problems since my surgery but I still feel it's worth it.

In a heartbeat! I can't even begin to describe how different my life is in just a short time. I am really living rather than just existing!

Yes, but time will tell if I will regret not waiting it out until I could make insurance pay for DS instead of RNY.  I've got some "head" issues to work on before malabsorbtion wears off.  But definitely, quality of life has improved dramatically in less than a year in all areas.

If you would have asked me 6 months ago I would have said I did regret it.  I had a DS and I had terrible diarrhea and gas.  So bad that I could barely leave the house.  An example.  Last June was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to go to a nice restaurant.  I spent the whole night in the bathroom.  It was embarrassing.  I blamed it on drinking too much water but it still was uncomfortable.  The smell was horrible.  I couldn't even stand it.  I had regained about 100 lbs so I felt it was all for nothing.  And I felt terrible physically.  Constant fatigue.  My labs were ok but I still felt it was related to my surgery.
Almost 3 weeks ago I had a revision to have my common channel lengthened and my stomach made smaller.  I feel great now.  Honestly I just wanted the diarrhea to stop but since I was having surgery anyway I decided to have my stomach done, too.  This is the first time I can remember when I haven't overeaten.  I like having the restriction and not feeling hungry.  It feels good to eat a small meal and be satisfied.  Even though I am early out I am glad at this point that I did it.

Wow, I think this is the first time I have heard of someone revising from DS to RNY. It seems like it's usually the other way around. I'm glad you're feeling better since your revision!
