B12 Injections - how much?

where my labs are in late August, then I

My surgeon started ALL postop patients on 1 ml weekly at one month postop.  Then, after several months, looks at labs to see where you are and how to adjust.  I maintained the weekly shots till recently when my reading was >1500 (highest value the lab could generate) and my new doc said to go to monthly shots.  What he did not know was that I take my shot when I refill my pill tray weekly.  ALL meds are stored together and it worked for me.  Once he changed me to monthly, I just plain forgot to take the stuff at all and dropped all the way to 692!  UGH!!  SO, I am going to stick to my 1 ml weekly.  OR perhaps go to 1/2 ml weekly and that will be half what I was previously taking.  Perhaps that will make him happy AND allow me to stick to my plan of taking with pill tray refill times.
