Hi Terri,

Thanks so much!   I'm definitely more of a casual type girl so I'm relieved to hear its not a formal dance.

But that doesn't mean I don't have to shop now for more casual type clothes to wear to the dance!

Looking forward to event in Cinci. I ordered tickets over three weeks ago.  When should I expect to get them?  Did I miss something about that somewhere? Thanks!

Physical tickets are not sent out.  You are registered for the event once you pay.  Your name will be on the list at the registration table when you sign in for the event.  Have a great time and will look forward to seeing you there.

We are currently trying to locate A.S.L. volunteers to assist one of the OH Cincinnati guests. We do not wish to detract from anyone's enjoyment of the event, so we are hoping to get whomever is able to volunteer for Main Events so MaryAnn Homza (MaryAnn2008) will not miss out on the speaking portions of the program.

Thank you in advance for any help you offer!

my son goes to St. Rita's school for the deaf. if you give me more information I might be able to secure a translator for your guest. I know a teeny bit of sign but not a enough to help someone else really.  you might also consider contacting cincinnati state or sinclair community college (both have interpreter programs) for a volunteer.  said volunteer might be able to count the event towards community service time on thier degree.

Hello...I'm the event manager at OH.  I have secured ASL translators for MaryAnn according to the attendance times that she specified to us, so she will be able to enjoy the conference on Friday and on Saturday!

I sincerely appreciate everyone taking this need to heart and trying to help out.  Now, come enjoy!

Best regards,
Kim

I have my surgery tomorrow and am nervous but excited.  I didn't know about the event til I signed on today.  I am a very shy person and really don't do well with crowds but might make the exception.  I would really love to hear and meet some of your guys.

BTW I work for an adovacy organization that helps people with disabilities.  Have you tried contacting Cincinnati Speech & Hearing center?  I don't have their number here at home but could get it from work when I am done with surgery.  Another option would be to contact Dr. Curry's office.  They may have had this issue come up and might know of someone who is available.

Are there event tickets without purchasing an over night?  I really don't enjoy staying downtown and have stayed before at the Westin and really don't want to repeat.  It is not a bad hotel but just not what I want to spend my money on.

For the member that was bringing kids, our Cincinnati Reds are in and out of first place right now.  It is a very exciting time to see if you can get Reds tickets (I'm not sure if they are in town).  Also, Kings Island is running a wonderful promotion for Susan Koemen.  $29.99 for all day tickets.  I agree with a previous poster that the aquarium is over priced for what you get.  The Westin may have discount coupons available.

I will give the event more thought.  I really do think it is a good idea.  I just don't know how well I will be doing by that time.  Still on mushy foods.

Hello, and thank you for the information!  I have received help on booking an interpreter. We would be happy to have you if you're feeling up to it; we don't pressure you to do anything you don't want to do, and all of our speaking is on the same floor.  You don't have to stay at the hotel to attend; some just make it a weekend affair, especially if they don't live in the area.

I am a baseball fan...the Reds aren't in town, darn.  The family that might have brought children is not able to attend any longer, but we thank all of those who supplied information about Cincinnati.

Wishing you a quick recovery,
Kim
