Eating with a DS: A Day in the Life (pics!)

Hi, Seth! I have not seen you posting in the DS forum. Make sure you come by and show yourself there often!

As to BMs, I have about 2 a day, usually in the morning and they are easy-peasy. Quick and clean. No constpiation for me. Now, if I eat a ton of sugar in the day (say a big piece of chocolate cake or a bunch of Oreos, then I may have another BM--a fluffy one, LOL!)

Best of luck to you!

Nicolle

I had the kick-butt duodenal switch (DS)!

I usually have 2 a day. Once in the morning and once at night. Now, if I'm a little less vigilant with my vitamins than I normally am my stool will not be as formed and I can go 3-4 times a day. Yet another reason to stay on top of my vitamins.

That is a gross amount of food.

I am glad you had DS and can eat all that.  I never ate that much before surgery.

Why do DS'ers always have to try and prove they are better or eat better or superior or whatever it be.  Who cares what surgery anyone had as long as they are HAPPY with their own choice and journey.

Quoted from Jenna's post: "I hope this was helpful and informative to someone out there."

The GALL of that woman!  I've never read a great amount of snobbery and superiority anywhere!  Or something.

She wasn't posting to you. She made that very clear.

Now quit lying to yourself. You didn't get fat on rice cakes and watermelon.

I guess one person's "gross" is another person's "delicious".

I'm sorry if you found my post upsetting, but you clearly did not read or chose to ignore my disclaimer.  It also seems you are reading things into it that are not there.

Oh come on now, do you really believe that poster didn't eat that much before surgery!?!  I sure don't believe her!! And let me tell you, I could eat that much before surgery JUST FOR BREAKFAST!! LOL!  As for your DS, it works for you and you are working it well!!  Thanks for the pics! I'm all full now. :D

Wow, how ignorant can one person be?

And its not gross.  All the stuff Jenna ate is GOOD FREAKING FOOD!  Why is enjoying food considered so damn bad?  UGH!
