Oh for Christs sake give me a break already!I am sorry that my OPINION highly offended anyone!!!!
I should have posted from the very start that in MY opinion that is a gross amount of food. I have never in my life eaten 8 slices of bacon in one sitting. I have never consumed that amount of fat grams in one day therefore it struck me as a "gross" amount of food pre or post op. I also never stated that I had to get surgery because I ate correctly as several have commented.
I also should not have expressed my opinion on "all DSers" on this thread as I was making a general statement of the observations of many of the DSers posting of their food consumptions in a daily routine.
I apologize to the Op for making general DSer statements in her food porn thread. Nothing I hate worse on here is surgery wars as I think they are a total waste of time and energy and in a moment of weakness on my part I made a generalization that I have thought in my head for a long time leak out through my fingers on her post and I apologize it should have just remained in my head.
Just go about your postings, forget I ever made a comment.

Topic: RE: KFC Grilled Double Down - Would you try it?
I would eat it in a heartbeat. I would not be able to fini**** but it looks darn tasty! I would probably eat the fried version of it as well, I am sure that one tastes better than the grilled :)
When I am sure I am over this stomach flu bug I will have to try this
Too funny.
What bothered me about your comment is that it was rude. She posts what she eats and you practically shame her for it. Not nice. She was making this post to educate people and let pre-ops know how they can eat post DS. I've never seen Jenna start a surgery war.
I made a similar post complete with pics about what I eat post VSG because as a pre-op I was extremely curious and "x ounces" meant absolutely nothing to me.
I am sure you ate that volume of food on many occasions preop - maybe not as much fat but carbs instead. Let's not pretend.
p.s. I heart food porn.

This is a great explanation of the DS for people like me that are more visual learners. I am way post op now but this is great for anyone pre-op to see.
I had never heard of the DS when I had surgery.

Jenna, what a terrific post. You eat nicely balanced meals, I wish I could claim that for myself.
Like many other DSers have mentioned, there are days when I seem to be able to eat so much, and other days, yeah not so much. I'm getting used to it, but find it quite strange. I have a weird "issue" with eating leftovers (as in I can't...grosses me out), so I end up wasting lots of food, some days.
I always read your meals and am so impressed with your cooking talent. To see the results in pictures is doubly satisfying. Thank you, again!

Loving my DS!!
Loving my DS!!
Jenna, are you sure you havent been sneaking into my fridge? lol. Your day is very close to what I eat each day, except for sashimi....ewwwww me no likey lol. I eat full fat, have right from the start. My surgeon told me its better to eat the real thing than the low-fat stuff that tastes like toxic waste and has crap added to it to make up for the fat. I eat steak with cheese, I am a bacon freak, brie cheese, eggs, all of that stuff. I feel NO guilt and I am considered a success! As for the quantities, I could manage those portions pretty well, maybe not all the veggies but I believe in saving more room for a larger piece of cow in my pouch lol. Now I want to come for dinner too!
Food Porn! I LOVE it!
