When will I learn to eat slowly?

Ever sneezed after eating?  If you eat too much, it aggravates the vagus nerve and makes you sneeze or your nose run.  I can always tell when  I overeat lol.  works quicker than my brain :o)

OMG...I have been sneezing a lot lately and my nose has been runny for months...I guess that's why!!! I have known for a while that I've been over eating...it's very sad to say.  My husband doesn't want to make me mad or hurt my feelings so he hardly every says anything when I eat...I don't have a huge support system here. Don't have many friends and have no way to get to groups.  I guess It's a big reality check for me...have a lot to think about
You have two choices you can laugh or you can    cry....what will it be???

Eating slowly is a struggle for me too.  Sometimes my pouch just demands me to slow down from the first bite.  It feels discomforted and eating faster is obviously not going to please it. But most times it is quite and then I'll just eat something a little to bit or too quickly and I feel it hit my tummy hard.  Yesterday I ate some chicken and it wasn't tender and juicy but totally opposite.  I ate it quickly and within minutes I had to force myself to throw up b/c I just couldn't take that feeling sitting in my chest.

May God bless us in all of our endeavors.  May He forgive us for our frailties and our vanities and bless us to be prosperous in health, soul, and in life.

I so get this. It's like when I'm in a hurry - I still think I want the instant gratification. Really a mind over matter thing. I came from a family of 8. We ate like little pigs at a troff. You didn't get 2nd's till you finished your plate. Of course there was always the children starving in China.

I am so jealous of those of you that can make yourself throw up.  I can't and I've tried.  I just get so sick and gag but can't vomit.  I just have to wait it out.

I get sick anytime I eat fast or too big of bites - which often happen at the same time.

I eat protein yogurt most every night for supper  because as the day goes on, I just don't feel like I can eat another thing  - so it has to be "slider" food, yet high in protein.

Some times I have to take nausea Rx so I can get my nightly prescriptions and supplements down.

Nausea has been my worst complication.
