Friday Weekly Weighers - Post Here

It's Friday again!  How did your weigh in go this morning?  I hope you had a terrific week all around -- not just when you stepped on the scale!

Unfortunately, I am still struggling and the scale reflected that with a gain of 1.4 pounds for the week.  I have been playing around with the same 2 pounds for about a month now.  I think my body wants to stay where it is, but I'd really like to drop another 20 pounds or so (that would get me to my surgeon's goal).

I know what I'm doing wrong -- eating too much and not exercising enough.  I have been under a lot of stress lately and I've turned to my old friend FOOD for comfort.  I have to stop that!

The beautiful thing is that today is a brand new day full of opportunities to make good choices.  I am still down 124 pounds from where I was the day of my surgery and I will celebrate my success and take steps toward continuing in that direction.  I can't change what I did yesterday or the day before that, but I sure can make the most of today.

Happy Friday!  The scale was good to me this week -- down 4.5lbs.  I've done well with exercising but need to continue to work on getting my protien in.

Leanne - congratulations on being down 124 in what - 10 months?  Incredible!

Yes, it's been 10 months.  The last 4 months have been tough though.  I've only lost 24 pounds since Christmas.  I'm one of those fast initial losers (I'm not complaining though!).

I may start WW to give me more structure with my eating.

Pre-Op here, and this is my first official at-home weigh in.  My at home starting point is 312.8.

Walking program starts this weekend, and my first surgical appointment should be right around the corner - I anticipate a call this morning to schedule.  (Heeere weeee go!)

Fabulous Friday, Leanne!
The scale says I've lost 1 lb., which makes 6 lbs. in 2 weeks. I'm happy with that. Exercise continues to be the area in which I need to improve. There's always something. ;)
Have a great day.
Blessings,
Mary

Down 2 more to 227!  I am hoping my body will get over the shock soon and I will really get moving!  I go back to work Monday, and maybe being back to the grind will up my activity and get things going.  I am so ready to go back to work!

Have a great week everybody!

I usually weigh on Mondays but never noticed this thread until today so I thought I would chime in too. Maybe it will motivate me with these last few pounds. I'm at 176 today. My goal is 160. I had been stuck at 180 for months, mostly because of my own bad food choices but I'm trying hard and I guess now it is showing. I haven't kept up with my regular exercise and so I will try to get back into that starting today.

Everyone hang in there and don't let yourself get discouraged.

Hugs,
Karen

Hey all - Happy Friday!!!

I too have been struggling - have not lost or gained this week.  I have been having a lot of stomach problems that they cannot seem to diagnose.  I have been for a CT Scan and they said it was Divaticulosis but they want me to go for an upper GI on Monday to make sure that I do not have a hernia.  I am done having children but have felt like I am walking around in labor for about a month now.  It is horrible and having to sit at work all day makes it worse!  I have pretty much put myself on a liquid diet because it feels good to drink but feels terrible to eat anything.  Hopefully after Monday they can tell me what the heck is going on.  It may or may not have anything to do with my surgery - I am 7 months out and havent had any issues until recently.  I do not want to blame this on my RNY - I am still greatful to have had this surgery and truly believe it was a life saver for me.

I hope everybody enjoys their weekend!!

Well, in the last couple of days I have left the 300s and am in the 200s!  I know for many of you that are waaaay lower than me, this may not seem such a big thing but it really is to me! It has been 10+ years since I have been out of the 300s!  I am 297 today! :)  Down 61 lbs since surgery and 71 since I started the program in December!  I was wearing a size 32w and am now in a 24w.
I had my RNY on 3/17/10.  HW 372/SW 358/GW 199

Congrats to everyone for such great success.

I am at the same spot this week again. My Dr. said that if this kept up too much longer that he wanted me to go back in to see him so I am calling for an apt. Probably just so he can go over my food and exercise diary. I stay within my calories, carbs, water and protein so I don't know what he will tell me to do different, but I will let everyone know cause it might help out.

And yes I am very happy for 104 lbs that I have already lost. Like Leanne, I have these last 20 or so lbs. to loose.
