Cardiologist appointment?

the EKG is where they put little pads on your chest in strategic places to see your heart rythym.  They open your blouse to do it, so wear a 2 piece outfit.  If the ekg comes back abnormal, then they have you do a stress test at a later date.  I didnt have to take anything off, just unbuttoned my blouse.

You can keep your pants on.  I don't know why that question struck me as strange and funny both considering what you get to wear into surgery :)  Don't use any lotions.  The EKG leads won't stick to your skin of you do.  Here's to keeping your pants on :)

Unless you have lots of hair on your chest you don't need to shave.

I had labs, an EKG, an echocardiogram and a Cardiolyte (nuclear) treadmill.  It took place over three days.  this is probably not the norm.  My cardiologist is a personal friend.

EKG, Echo, Chemical Stress test, Cardiac Catheterization, another EKG...then clear. I have diabetes andf uncontrolled hyopertension. so may not be as in depth for you.

EKG, Echo, Stress Test, Sleep Study, Upper GI, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Pulmonary Function Tests, Cortrosyn Stimulation Test, Full Set of Labs(including all vitamins and  minerals), Chest X=ray, medical clearance, cardiac clearance, pulmonary clearance, 2 endocrine clearances - my regular and 1 at the hospital my surgery was going to at, NUT consultation, Psych clearance,

You need to wear something comfortable, preferably a sweatsuit and sneakers.  For the EKG, some make you wear a gown.

Had my appointment this morning and I DID get to keep my pants on.
LOL!

Took about an hour for the EKG and exam by the doctor. All came back good. I am ready to go!!!
