KFC Grilled Double Down - Would you try it?

Good morning everyone,

I happened to be cruising along when I noticed the big advertisement for the new Double Down that KFC is now offering...naturally they show the 2 fried chicken breast...but I just learned that they also are available with grilled chicken...

So have any of you tried to convince yourself that hmmm a grilled double down with the monteray jack cheese, pepper jack cheese (without the bacon) and a litte colonel sauce wouldn't do too much harm...

or have any one just boldly said I'm gonna get it...if so, how did it taste...I wanna live vicariously through your taste buds...

personally? no thanks.. i know there has been ALOT of debate about this sandwitch (through witch ive learned alot about what DS'ers can eat.lol) but as for me? no thanks.. isnt appealing to me.

even the wendy's chili which i know alot of WLS peeps swear by is just too ..... greasy? maybe. i dunno, ill eat it when there is nothing else but i prefer to cook my own food.

but on a side note, i heear from others that its very good.

I tried one of the singles and it was OK.  Have to say that x-tra crispy would have been better.  The double doesn't appeal to me unless you get rid of the bacon.  Grilled?  I don't know...

I would eat it in a heartbeat.  I would not be able to fini**** but it looks darn tasty!  I would probably eat the fried version of it as well, I am sure that one tastes better than the grilled :)

When I am sure I am over this stomach flu bug I will have to try this

Over the years I have chosen to spend my calories like money, and fast food has never seemed like a good investment.  Grilled, fried, doesn't really matter it's filled with preservatives, salts, fats, and sugars that my body does not need.

That is sooooo gross - I can't believe it. Does that mean we could seriously have some of the preservatives from our last McDonalds meal still in our bodies? Yuck!

I have a cheeseburger I've been aging for about a year. It's never been in the frig, it's in the same containers I bought it in.  Still looks the same as the day I bought it.  No mold, no nothing.  Just dry.

Disgusting.

Did you know if you take a tub of margerine OR meat from a Mickey D's burger bugs and roaches won't touch it?  You can throw it outside and leave it, they won't touch either one.

A damned ****roach is smarter than we are. ;o)

yes, it's a big red flag when a microbe wouldn't touch your "food"!

if it can never go bad, it wasn't good to begin with.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Thanks for that. I cut and pasted the link and put it on my FB. (I didn't use the fb link at the corner)  I've seen others doing this. I think FINALLY people are getting the idea that these foods are doing things to their bodies that we may not be able to comprehend.
