It's "INVASIVE," people, not "EVASIVE."

And done in a very direct forthright manner. No evasiveness needed.

I think the world needs more people playing Scrabble.

No, this is an old post, bumped by some malcontent who wants to attack me for pointing out that her story doesn't match...you know...her story.

She posted photos of herself at 215 pounds and a size 18/20 pre-op for the band.  It was apparently a HORRID experience that none of us could understand because she could only buy clothes at Lane Bryant.  Imagine.

In the past month, she has posted that she wants the DS because she is having problems with her band.  Well, I'm no fan of the band, but this person identified herself--within the past month--as having a BMI of 29 or 30 or 32 or 35, depending on which post you were reading.

I suggested that she is not a great candidate for the DS as, depending on which of her posts you read, she is not even OBESE, let alone morbidly obese and the DS is a BIG f'ing deal and may be overkill for someone who is not morbidly obese.

She miffed.  And now she's going to show eveyone that I'm a horrible, miserable person who has nothing to do but pick on her online.  Fool that she is...I hate LOTS of people to pick on online.

Hi, Judi...miss you!

Oh...and I didn't "correct" any poster.  It was a general statement.  Try to get your faulty accusations straight.

If you go back and look at the post in question about the lap band, I wasn't focusing on any word but "sweat."  I'm well informed on the fact that different countries spell words differently.

I just think you nitpick for no reason at all.

I complained about an article supposedly written by experts where I found more then one spelling error..the other being reoperation, which is correctly spelled re-operation.

I think the poster that used the word evasive made a mistake, but is it worth making a fuss over?

I still hope you have an incredibly wonderful day:)

WHAT "poster that used the word evasive?"  It's an oft-committed error.  But you wont have to read my comments any more, because you are blocked.  FOAD.

In any group of a hundred people, there are probably 2 or 3 sociopaths.  In a group of a thousand, more like 20-30.  They function very well in "affinity groups," where people have things in common and tend to trust strangers.  I am NOT saying not to trust anyone.  I AM saying that there are probably two dozen sociopaths hanging out here and looking for victims.  Most are NOT serial killers.

I don't want to get in this argument, as I don't care either way.  It does annoy me sometimes, but on the other hand I wouldn't call someone out on it cause I am guilty of sloppy writing too.  When I went back to college, I told my english professor that the internet had ruined me!    I didn't see you calling anyone out in particular, just mentioned a pet peeve and that is cool.

The part I didn't agree with was FOAD (Fu*k Off And Die) at the end of your post.  I mean, really, was that necessary here?  You ladies are having a disagreement, okay, but telling someone to *** Off And Die is a bit strong.  If it was me, I'd take that part off.  Why not just say *** Off and leave it at that?  You can even tell me to *** Off and that is cool.  Just my two cents that no one asked for...

You're new here.  There is a place on your My OH page where you can decide not to read "adult content" without demanding the right to censor what others write.

And when I want to write "fuck," I do...no asterisks at all.  This time, I wanted to write "FOAD."   If you don't want to read such things, feel free to limit what you can read instead of attempting to limit what others write.

Honestly, I do not care to read it or write it myself.  I was just trying to be courteous to others since this is the main board.  Again, I am not demanding you change or censor what you wrote, I said if it was me I'd take that part off.  Just telling someone to "Fu*k Off And Die" over an internet post is a bit strong, but that is your decision and apparently you are sticking by it.  At the end of the day, you are the one that has to live with the words you put out there and no one else.

1--If you don't care to read it or write it, the filter feature is available to you.
2--"Courtesy" might also include not telling others how they should express themselves.
3--You are entitled to your opinions, but you can edit only what YOU have written.
4--I've been "living with the words I put out there" for over six decades and nothing I read here is going to change that.

Wow,  I just said telling someone to "Fu*k Off And Die" over an internet post is pretty ridiculous.  I am starting to believe the things people are PMing me about you.  I am not going to sit here and argue with someone in their 60's, who by this point in their life, should know better and have some common decency and respect for others.
