For those of you who are considering it, or who had surgery in the US and can't fathom why someone would go outside the US for surgery... I made a video on my youtube channel which you might like, with pics and video of my Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico weight loss surgery pre-op/post-op experience with Dr. Aceves at Almater Hospital.  Here is the link

I also have 2 videos of the hotel which was included for one night .... one vid of inside and one vid of  grounds.

It's not really a procedure that is done, certainly not by any ethical surgeons.  You are going from a restrictive and malabsorptive procedure to restrictive only.  It's a big huge, major surgery to take down your RNY.  If you are going to go to that extreme I would revise to DS.

The ONLY safe surgeon in MX for that is Ungson.

Could you tell me more? I had a RYN and lost 145 pounds and I am starting to gain again and it is hard fighting it. I wonder what it cost you and if I could get a revision done. I would like to get the sleeve done, the regain is not like it is with an RYN. Please tell me more or some info on a revision in Mexico. Thanks

I paid 8750 for the sleeve with Dr. Aceves, but I know that revisions are trickier, please do your research and find someone who can do a good job vs. the cheapest... midwesterngirl has a guide in her blog... her sig has the link, I beleive.

I don't know much about revision, but from what I know, RNY can not be converted to sleeve?  Unless they reverse the RNY?  But what you can do is have the RNY itself revised.  But I would think that you should do a test first to determine current pouch size.?

Have you tried the 5 day pouch test?
