Get one of those silly hats that holds two cans/bottles on each side of your head...lol. They also have camel packs that hikers etc use to keep water handy. Show up for work with those and see what they do.

Hope you don't mind the silly reply, you've gotten many more serious ones so I couldn't help myself. =)

I also have, or will have this problem.  I can't have anything to drink/eat in my room (I work in the OR), so I am going to have to train myself to grab a sip in between cases.  The problem is going to be on the days that I have surgeries that take 4-6-8 hours.  I think I am just going to have to insist that they have someone get me out for the two minutes it will take to get a drink!

Until you figure it out, I would go to the bathroom every 10 minutes and drink 2 oz each time!

Believe it or not, that was one of the suggestions when I said I needed the water for a medical condition - and they were serious!  That's what totally sent me over the edge!

Get a Drs note and a spill proof cup.
Good to go. They cannot deny you water for a medical reason backed by a physician.

That's the law at my job too...however I work night shift so what everyone doesn't know doesn't hurt them.
I like the idea of the hat thing...that is too awesome!

A note from your surgeon would probably take care of it though...if it didn't a note from a lawyer would...

How unhealthy for EVERYONE.  I can't believe how STUPID some people are.  EVERYONE needs to drink water and I think a big ole fat law suit is in order.

The ADA (American's with Disability Act) will be of help to you if they won't accept a note from your doctor.

You work for idiots.
