Eating too fast and too many calories

If you are that full, it may not be that you are eating too fast it may be that you are eating too much at one time.  You should be eating 6 small meals a day, about 2-3 hours apart.  This optimizes your  metabolism and keeps your blood sugar level.  It also keeps you from getting hungry throughout the day.  At 4 months out, you should be eating about 3 ounces of protein at one time with some vegetables on the side, maybe a small salad instead of vegetables.  For snacks, which count as 2 of the meals, you can have fruit with some protein, or nuts, protein shakes, cheese sticks are good.

I still fight eating too fast. Putting the fork down between bites helps me. But I have gotten poultry stuck in my chest about five times since RNY five months ago. I average 660 calories a day and at least 100 g of protein.  But I have yet to resume exercising because of foot pain. I get orthotics tomorrow. I hope they help.
