pfft, I'm one of the blocks! I know, I'm such a ***** for trying to share information and correct misinformation. I really shouldn't have so many NON-DSers on my friends list.
Hello DSers,
I have to work hard to keep my jealousy from influencing my feelings toward all you guys. It doesn't help that most of you have a very sharp sense of humor! I am grateful for my RNY but I do have regrets that I didn't find out about the DS until after my WLS, thus the RNY. I usually skip the posts regarding the different surgery types. I have what I have and I will make the most of it. I have suggested to others considering WLS to research DS and have told them I wish I had looked into DS prior to WLS. So far I haven't found any downs to the DS. Stinky poots? Who doesn't at times after eating certain things. Malabsorption? If I only absorbed 1% of what I used to eat I would still be able to maintain a normal weight so I don't think that would be an issue with me.
So far my RNY is doing me good so as I said before, I am happy with it.
Just wanted you guys to know I'm happy for you, wi**** was me, but glad I'm losing weight with the RNY.
The only reason I read this post was because I hadn't heard anything bad about the DS and was wondering what bad misinformation was out there.
