I loved pizza, subs, Micky D's, burger king and Harvey's pre op. Now I don't like any of them. The pizza I find way too salty and can't do the crust. The subs are too bready so I order the sandwich in a salad style, that works. I can no longer tolerate fast food burgers. It all tastes salty, cardboardy and chemically so I no longer have any desire for them. I suppose that's true that most of the foods we eat are an acquired taste and if we don't eat it for several months we lose the taste for it. If I were to force myself to eat burgers again, I suppose after awhile I would grow to love them again. But why bother. I guess it is like smoking. You think you love it until a year or so after you quit, you realize how horrid it really tastes and smells.

I technically have a DS - I can eat both. I can do a 6" sub from Subway (I like the melt - ham, turkey, bacon, and extra cheese!), but I do tear off some of the bread while I'm eating it, or I get a flatbread and tear some of that off as well.
As for pizza, I've always been picky about it. I never ate the end crusts because I always thought them dry and flavorless, so I still don't eat the end crusts. And I've found I REALLY like Domino's Brooklyn-style pizza because the crust is thin but not crispy. I always order my pizza light on the sauce (again, something I did pre-op as well since I don't like most pizza place's sauce very much) and with EXTRA extra cheese plus whatever other toppings I want. I'm 10 months out and can easily eat 2 slices in a sitting.

I had my DS 4 years ago. I prefer thin crust pizza (thick crusts almost always leave me gassy) and I am hopelessly devoted to Jimmy Johns subs. I can down a Vito or Hunters Club like nobody's business. I always get extra vinaigrette to make it extra drippy. Uh oh, I know where I'm going for lunch today.
