CARNIE WILSON CALLED ME

In her defense, she was actually really cool about it.  She told me that she wasn't really sure why she felt so strongly about MY response/review, but she just figured, "oh F!  I'm just going to call her."  It was nice to actually speak to her directly because she was MUCH more personable and real on the phone and I think she just wanted to be understood.

After thinking about it, I realized this woman has been in the public eye for YEARS being scrutinized, embarassed, harassed - that would make ANY of us on edge.  And she even said she doesn't have a lot of say where the editing is concerned, so I'm sure there's probalby moments that she wishes were edited in another way.

In any case, I liked her a lot more after our call.  Not because she called me, but because she was more real....which is all she wanted:  for me to see her as a person, and now I do.
