Carne Wilson, This may be brutal
The bottom line is this. Judging others without walking in their shoes is just wrong. First, it takes the focus of yourself and second, whats the point in it anyway.
Whether she whines or not. She was a really heavy woman that I am sure struggled in the lime like. She is wanting attention good or bad.
Just think how you would feel in her shoes. Also, I thought this forum was about helping people not knocking them.

I'm not going to be throwing rocks from my glass house, to hers.
She is a "success" by WLS standards. She has maintained around half of her loss. Would I be happy with those cir****tances? No, so I chose a different surgery with somewhat better stats, and I'll hope for the best. None of us get a guarantee going into this, and I just feel empathy for her.
If all of us could just do what ever dieting and exercise it took to lose and maintain, none of us would have had any type of WLS.

Jupiter,
You don't list a surgery or surgery date. Have you had surgery yet????????? Mine was almost 3 years ago( amd my hisband 4 almost 4 years), and we both fight the battle everyday. Losing the weight is the easy part, it is the keeping it off that is hard, If you have not faced this battle yet, then you have no idea her (and the rest of our) struggle on a daily basis to keep the weight off.

I'm not sure if all the Carnie posts on OH today were triggered by my "Carnie called me last night" post or not (probably just coincidence), but I definitely have a different view of her now. Here are my thoughts that caused a bit of a stir....
Here's the video that she called me about:

Here's the video I made after our phone conversation last night:

Just thought I'd chime in since the phone call happened. Thanks. :)
