I'm cold?

And I don't think it's just because of the weather lately.  I remember this happeneing before when I would lose weight, just not this fast or intense.

Let me ask you guys.... do you find yourself feeling colder as you get smaller?  I joke and say that I've lost my insulation, but I am not sure it's a joke anymore.  How can the baby run around in underwear and a t-shirt while I'm under 3 blankets and drinking hot coffee?

Anyone else shiver as they melt away?

Absolutely!  I used to be the one with the fan on and windows open in the middle of a North Dakota winter.  Now, I have a 5lb sweatshirt I wear 24/7 over my turtlenecks and sweaters.  Not to mention the 2 layers of socks plus slippers I wear around the house.  I have also been watching the sale papers to find an electric blanket!

I have exerienced exactly what you are saying.  I rationaized it was less insulation, too.  Come to find out it can be a sign of hypoglycemia.. low blood sugar.  Just a head's up.

I've had my sleeve seance Aug 4Th and I am always cold still. I too think as you lose the weight you get colder. Now I think how do them skinny ones wear such less clothing. But there use to it. I keep telling my daughter to dress my 2 year old granddaughter cause it is to cod for her to run that way. So I bought footie Jamie's and she hate them. Granddaughter tells me shes hot. LOL. Not sure where your at but hope it gets warm for you there. I am in Michigan right now helping my dad he had RNY on the 20Th. Then I go back to my new home in Kansas on the 7Th. Hope its warm there. Good luck to you. Loving my Sleeve Sherri

I was wondering the same thing.  I am freezing all of the time now.

Ditto -- freezing and can't seem to get warm. However, my hubby bought me a down comforter from Carnival Cruises for Christmas 2008. When I get in bed I think I'll never get warm but that is best. Flannel sheets, down comforter + regular comforter and I am comfortable. Here at work I have a heater on constantly.

Oh My ... I'll be looking forward to that!   LOL   I'm in So Cal but my wardrobe consists of tank tops and birkenstocks.     I don't think I've put socks on (unless I'm on my motorcycle) in like the last 10 years.    I have a fan at my desk and rarely turn on the heater - much to my son's chagrin.   I'm looking forward to wearing cute sweaters and something with sleeves for a change!!!

Haaa haa, I really hate this the most. I do live in Colorado, okay. I was born here and completely acclimated to the weather.
I use to wear short in the winter, walk bare foot in the snow to get the mail. No coat in the afternoon. Short sleeve shirts only. Sliding door open and fan on in the middle of winter at night.
Now, I sleep with a heating pad and blanket some time a small space heater, no reason to heat the whole house. I take a hot, hot bath every night to get some heat before bed and quiet time( 4 kids). Man being cold is harsh and expensive.
Sweat pants, tights, closed toe shoes, under armor shirt and sweat shirt and jackets, jeans, duck shoes with lots of socks. If any one knows how to turn up the thermostat in my body, Please let me know?
Even my MOM has commented on the no short issue. That made me laugh
P.S. I get electric blankets for the thrift stores and check the warrant's with the company's for age. No old ones. That freaks me out.
Good luck, to" the Popsicle crew". hee hee

Hi Patt317,

Glad to know that I have company.  I was wondering what's wrong with me.  I'm down 50 pounds in 5 months and freezing ALL THE TIME.  I've been looking for a medical explanation for this but no luck so far.  If anyone has any information, please share......
