haha...sporting event - good analogy!

I don't remember having any issue in the hospital as far as the toilet...maybe because I was on heavy drugs at the time?

Also, I now have baths regularly and no longer fear having to get out!

Good Luck on your journey!

My lovely husband helped me out in that respect. I couldn't reach and I was too sore directly after surgery. The night nurse (dam he was a man too) had to wipe me when my husband was not there. It was just humiliating enough to  keep me from ever getting there again. Hope you can find a solution a little less humiliating!

Aww, that's very nice that your husband could do that for you.  My husband is sweet and nice, but I just know that is something he couldn't do - He gets mad at me for not closing the door when I just go to bathroom to pee!!!!!  So, can you imagine?  He's just funny that way.

Someone posted a "list" of things to take to hospital with you and one of the items was a long wooden spoon or something that you could wrap toilet paper around to reach.  LOL.  I might have to see what I can come up with there.

I bought the cheap foam paint brushes (package of 5 for a $1 at Walmart). You know the ones with the wooden handle and they have a peice of square foam on the end. Once I was home, these worked fine. I was a little embarassed to use them at the hospital - hehe.

Shaving is still interesting...
even though its much easier...

I sometimes find areas days later  that I missed because of hanging skin. Oh well - when i see it... I shave it!

Glad I am not the only one with these problems. I hope to have a surgery date on Monday so I am looking forward to the 'New" luxuries!
Too funny with the wash cloth slap !

Hope everyone has a good night!

I remember when shaving my legs in the shower left me feeling like I’d just finished an intense aerobic workout!!!  This was one of my "defining" moments.

Soon enough dahling!

Also, keep those bad memories to help keep you on track, just ask yourself down the road if you want to go back to these hardships of daily living....which is possible if we abuse our tool!

Good Luck!
