Lung Biopsy ? any1.

Hi y'all I have heard that its every pain full when you get a lung biopsy done .have any of you had this done ? would love to hear from y'all .I go next Friday for mine ..Red in TX .

Red, my Dad had one done last year.  He was under full anesthesia, so no pain while they were doing it.  He did have issues with coughing/choking/gagging after it was all over for a few hours.  I'll be thinking of you Red. You're one of my fav R&R peeps!  HUGS!   Cindy

Are you having a biopsy done via a bronchoscopy procedure or an open biopsy in the OR?

Hi Brenda, my Dad just had a lung biopsy done.  He didn't have a general anesthesia.  He had a local done, and I believe that's how they are done to be honest.  He stayed for about 3 hr. afterward and came home.  He said they gave him some meds to relax him...not sure if this was IV or oral.  He did just fine.  Much luck to you.
