Beth,

Correct me if I'm wrong but you have your own business and revenue that bounces off the OH site.  You benefit (or your business (even if non-profit)) from OH having more exposure, membership, etc..

So, the good business decision you believe it is makes sense because it's a good business decision for you as well.

The more exposure OH gets, the more exposure you get.

If I'm wrong on this, please correct me and explain!  :-)

I appreciate what you contribute here and to the WLS community all over but what benefits them, benefits you and that may not be true for all of us!

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Sometimes.  But, I did start here in 2003 with my own name and location, too.

But were YOU not aware this was a commercial site ? I mean? Come on.
YOu couldv'e googled your username and name before and found all this.. Like I keep saying.. this changes NOTHING.. People who wanted to share it all, shared it all before...

People keep saying, "Im not ashamed of who I was but I choose to keep it private.."
Sure.
NOt ashamed.
K.
I get it.
You're not ashamed, but you just don't want anyone to know? Hmm..

Nothing has changed.. It's just EASIER to do what people who wanted to do it.. were already doing.

I don't begrudge OH's need to generate revenue. Just find another way.

How about posting this information on ALL the forums.  Lot of people don't even look at the Main forum.

IMHO you can move the share feature to the right of the page.  Like RIGHT OFF the page!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

How do you request your profile to be deleted? I think OH has made a HUGE mistake by adding this feature. I know several people who are seriously considering removing their profiles from this site, obiously the pursuit of the almighty buck and free advertising is more important to OH then the feedback from your memembers.

Please move the share button.  Every time I go to post a reply, I end up going to twitter instead.  The button is in a terrible place.

Your info about FB is either blatently wrong or at least misleading.  It does NOT post a summary of a thread, but instead postes the entire thread...the original post and ll replies made up to the time it is shared.  This is not a "possibility" but a reality.  If it wasn't meant to share in that way, then programming needs to be tweaked.  If it was intended to share in this way, please update/edit your explanation..there is no summary as your text bubble on top left indicated.

I just shared this thread on my Facebook. What he posted above is what it looks like when it gets posted on your Facebook. In order to see what it is, you have to click on the link and it brings you right back to this page where you can read the thread in its entirety in OH. So, again, if you don't want people to know who you are, I strongly recommend making your OH profile private and not using your real name as your user name.
