Okay, so it is US versus THEM. I get it.
No. It's pretty obvious that you don't get it. That or you are intentionally trying to stir the **** Your prerogative but it just makes you come across as looking stupid.

As far as the financial aspect there are ways to overcome those issues. Talk to he hospital about making small payments and ask them if there is a way to group all your meetings into one day or two days back to back because of your travel distance.
It also sounds like you attend a church. Go to your pastor and ask if there is a way they can help you financially through the process of making your health better. Most churches are willing to help you if you are willing to help yourself. Just be honest with them about your needs and don't be prideful.
I understand that you are on a limited income, go to your social service provider... social security, welfare services or whatever it may be, and explain to them that you are trying to better your health and one of the perks might be that you are able to get off the "system" and provide for yourself, ask them if they know of any resources that might help you financially and emotionally with your journey.
Medicaid also pays for counceling ... use it. You sound like you are depressed by your situation and you need to talk to someone that can help you through this tough time. Take care of your mental health and the rest will work out well for you.
As far as the comment someone made regarding the cost of food and vitamins... I would guess that with your income you are eligible for if not already receiving food stamps. If this is the case then they can both be purchased with food stamps. This being said, there are vitamins out there that don't cost $80.00 a month and still do the same work...just shop around a bit. You don't have to order the vitamins special use the over-the-counter no name brands that are equivalent.
As far as the cost of the food...well if you are like the rest of us, you buy a lot of pre-prepared foods now, and the cost of those is higher than if you prepare foods at home. So realistically you are spending the same amounts for the "healthier foods" required for your diet as you are now. And you will be eating a considerable about less...thus a savings in itself.
As far as your spirital aspect it is wonderful that you have a close relationship with God, but remember he helps those who help themselves. Don't get bogged down in the negativity, because you can find negative aspects to anything you do in life. Your fears are just emotional responses to coping with life, don't let them consume you. Remember to chose life...for yourself!
Good Luck my friend, and know you are not alone in your fears and concerns. It is ok to ask for help.
To renee, Suzy and the rest of you that felt the need to trash a person who it clearly crying out for help, offer a solution instead of a beating... you will find that kindness might be what you need sometime in your life and hopefully the people you reach out to will treat you better than you treated this gentlman.
To savedbaptis1968t... hang on to the positives, work hard towards improving your life, get some counceling for your depression, it will help you make your choices with a clear mind. You are a worthy young man and deserve only the very best in life, but as with anything it does not just get handed to you, you worked hard to get approved for your surgery...keep up the hard work.
