I change my Mind

Sorry sir- I agree with what most everyone else is saying (well the sane people are saying at least).  It is probably a good thing you have decided to not have the surgery.

1) There are many, many people who would do anything to be in your shoes with an insurance approval who end up paying for their surgeries out of pocket because they want a better life for themselves.

2) Too dangerous?  Any surgery has it's risks.  Pretty much everything in life comes with risks!  You are basing your "facts" on arbitrary information that you have randomly "heard" from other people.  If you were to pay any attention to the cold, hard medical facts you would know that serious complications happen in a small percentage of folks.  But since you haven't done any research you are probably better off not having surgery to begin with so kudos for figuring that out now.

3) You are going to cry about 5 hours?  People fly to other countries just to have WLS to save their life!  You know Medicaid pays for transportion to medical appointments, if needed, right?  Or did you not do your research there too?

4) Are you that bad with money you can't save up the money for two very helpful classes?  Surely they would accept payments on a payment plan!  My surgeons office requires a $395 program fee that covers all my classes plus I had to pay $315 out of pocket for the psych evaluation!  I am also on Medicaid and have two disabled kids and live off their social security!  So stop *****ing about how you are just going to give up because you are too lazy to actually find a way to have this surgery to SAVE YOUR LIFE!  Does Jesus give "glorified bodies" to people like you who don't care about themselves?  Hiding your shame behind some God isn't going to help you.

Enjoy dying fat and remember it was YOU who let it happen!

Looks like you have decided to take the easy way out.  You know, to just go with what you're used to and die as soon as possible.

So Blessed!

Man, dude is down and all he gets is a cat fight!

Sometimes when a person is depressed and scared the solutions to problems are not clear. (ie. costs vs actual benefits).

Calling the man an idiot does not really help.

Well i am certainly not here to judge you I just wanted to challenge you to dig deep and fast and pray and see what God truely has for your life physically. If it is the money just believe that it will be given to you and it will. I am unemployed and my husband makes just enough for the bills but I prayed and fasted and I got a call from a relative and the whole upfront payment was given to me plus enough for meds. If you believe God will make a way. Just remember this if your having a problem in the area of fear God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind.

Sorry-for those of us who had to pay out of our own pockets-you will get no sympathy for having to pay a couple of hundred up front for something that will get you back on your feet and perhaps able to work again and off the public dole.  It just ****** me off that I am going to pay for you to stay fat and safe in the blood when you could be out in the world like the rest of us poor stiffs.  I'm sure you are a credit to your religion hiding behind it to avoid become a real human.

It IS possible you know, to have religous conviction AND be healthy and out in the world.

Agreed! My insurance covered most of the cost of my surgery but my mother's did not. I paid for that because it was the best thing for her. The best way to keep her around longer.

Asking for no risks in life is asking for a pretty dull ass life.

Just curious- if he is answering any responses- how can you afford to live in a hotel/motel Mr. Baptist? Upon taking a closer look at your picture, I noticed it is in fact, standard issue wall paper for a hotel/motel. I was just curious since you can't afford to pay for one in Austin and all.
