Life's a ***** sometimes.
My mother and I both had RNY about 1 month ago. I've been following instructions (with some very minor lapses) and my mother hasn't. I'm getting in my protein, taking my vitamins, sipping water all day, and exercising.
So, guess which one of us has already hit a stall?
Yep, me! Lucky me. I'm so frustrated!

It is unfortunate that your mom has not been following the rules to your new tool. It is also common to hit a stall at this point. I know I did. It will pass. Take comfort that you are doing everything you should be doing. The scale may not be dropping but you are still losing inches. Sit back and enjoy the bumpy ride.
Stick with it and don't get discouraged! It'll pay off in the end and you'll be pumped with the results!!
Try changing something up (increasing protein or exericise) to see the change you want to see on the scale. Remember that the number on the scale isn't always going to be the best way to measure - it'll be the way your clothes fit or how you have more endurance exercising or an increase in muscle or a decrease in inches on your measurements. Celebrate the little victories, there will be tons of them!!
Dont' get too down, you're only a month out and you've got plenty of time to get off your plateau! :)
Keep up the good work!!

Hey Dena!
Don't worry, it's the first of many little stalls...it is absolutely normal and does not mean you are doing anything wrong. Some people say they don't stall but the majority does. I just had an almost 4 week stall. I have now dropped a pound. I'm not really worried, I'm just impatient. I've learned from my OH family that you must be patient on this ride! Please keep up the great work!! Connie
