They are sort of like the corn-nuts...very dry and very crunchy, but not as hard.  Unseasoned they don't have a lot of taste.  They are great if you are craving real CRUNCH with some protein!

You can find them in smaller packages at most grocery stores, if you want to try before buying a VAT!

Oh, yummy!! And chock full of protein - if you're like me and you need crunchy, good tasting food options - go for it. I LOVE these things. By the way, fresh edemame on a salad are incredibly good as well. You can buy frozen at your grocery store. Very good for you! Maureen

I've had soy nuts and liked them.  Is this the same thing?

I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, yes.  Tiny little 'beans', pale tan or beige?

OK, I did a Google search to see what they look like.  They are different.  They're green and bigger.  I've tasted these before too.  They're not quite as dense in texture as the soy nuts.  They flavor is a little bit milder too.

Both are good.

They taste like dry roasted Edame! Sorry- Couldn't resist! They taste pretty much like the other posters described. I have ordered them from Amazon. They were sea-salt flavored, and came in  a case of individual pouches. I liked them because I could stow a pack in the car for a snack/emergency and not have to worry about them melting in the summer, like a protein bar would. Squirrels seem to like them too. Went to the Museum of Art this past summer and sat outside and ate lunch and a couple of squirrels came up to beg. Had to share.  They were soo cute!

I bought them from Costco a week ago and they are not bad. It is hard to describe the taste. They are not super tasty, but enough to take the edge off if I need a little snack or the need for crunch.
