131 pounds gone ...
Hi laceylynn, it's taken me about 1 1/2 years total for all 131 pounds. The middle of 2008 I really started dieting from 303 but couldn't get past 276 (even though sometimes I went lower) was able to get down to 253 for surgery day on the preop liquid starting in March, then the rest (82 pounds) since the surgery on May 7, 2009. So about 10 pounds a month consistent since the surgery.
Hope that makes it more clear.
Thanks so much for the encouragement!

You are an inspiration!
I am hoping for a surgery day in March. My husband keeps telling me I may not be able to loose 100 lbs...
Do you have any advice for doing so well, especially now during the pre-op? I have not started my liver reduction diet yet and the real food is just getting overwhelming at time.
Robin I love your little cheerleader in your pictures.
Take care and thank you for the inspiration!

Hi LogansMommy,
Preop is hard being on the liquid and I had some issues. I was to have the surgery on March 19th and had started the liquid diet on March 5th. When I woke up on the 19th I found out they didn't do the surgery as I have intestinal malrotation (I am all "wacky" inside). I was devastated. They had to do much more testing before they would do the surgery. It was at that point I knew I had to take control just in case they couldn't do the RNY. So I stayed on the liquid diet until I actually had the RNY surgery on May 19. It was so hard. The results are worth it.
I guess what I am saying is that every single time I choose something to put in my mouth I stopped and thought what I really wanted, that immediate gratification or the rest of my life as a happy healthy person. After a while it became second nature to choose wisely.
Oh, one of my cats (I have 3) was hiding behind me in the face forward latest picture and then my dog, Latte', was there cheering me on in several!
Wishing you the best!
