Well, I am sure that I will qualify.  My BMI is 45 and I have diabetes (diet controlled, so far) and sleep apnea, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and depression.  I am just really bummed that I am going to have to wait so long.  It looks like  we will not be able to change the insurance to Kaiser until November so even if I get it started right away, it may be a couple of years.  Guess I could go ahead and start the class if you don't need to be a member to take it and at least get that done.

Are you having the bypass?

Moonboots-

Wondering if you would be willing to update your post.  I see this was from a few years ago.  How are you doing now?  I am also a Kaiser member in the NW and would appreciate any insight or information you could pass on that might make the process smoother.  I would love to hear about your experience.

Thank you.

I am also a Kaiser Patient.  I had to take 24 classes ( 6 months) and lose 10% of my weight before surgery.  The classes at the time I questioned, but now I know were important.  It will help me be successful down the line.  There is a method here, in the long run you will understand it!

Good luck

Denise
